Mike Murphy (Born: September 12, 1950 in Toronto, Ontario) is a previous ice-hockey player in the NHL, and previous head coach in the NHL and IHL.

As a streaming video player, he played for the St. Louis Blues, New York Rangers, Los Angeles Kings, and had a brief stint with the Waterloo Black Hawks of the USHL. He has career numbers around the NHL of 231 goals, 318 helps for 556 sum points in 831 games played. Ensuing his swimming career, he decided for into coaching job. Upon retiring from either either hockey from a Los Angeles Kings, he became their Assistant Coach and soon thenceforth promoted to Head Coach. He late became head coach of the Vancouver Canucks and Toronto Maple Leafs.
